Serving Antioch, Grant, and Lake Villa Townships
Understanding the growing needs of transportation for seniors and the disabled, yet realizing the high costs of such a program. Antioch, Grant, and Lake Villa Townships have come together in a joint effort to serve their residents with the Township Transit Program.
November, 2005 was the start of our program and we have been very excited with the success of our program. The three townships have purchased a used, 15 passenger bus from PACE and will share expenses of the program equally.
The bus runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, mornings and afternoons traveling to Walmart in Antioch, Butera in Lake Villa, and we also do occasional runs to Super Target and Gurnee Mills in Gurnee. It is also our hope to expand the program in the near future.
Used 14 Passenger bus purchased from PACE by Antioch Township, Grant Township, & Lake Villa Township
Please call 1-847-265-RIDE for scheduled times and reservations. The bus fills on a first come, first basis, but you can call days in advance for a reservation. We will pick you up at your residence, curb side and bring you back home. The cost is $2.00 round trip.
Lake County Northwest Demonstration Project
In addition to our Township Transit we are happy to announce Antioch Township participation in the Lake County Northwest Demonstration Project. This project shows that hard work and cooperation between multiple organizations can achieve better results for everyone.
